Henry Ian Cusick played the role better than any other actor has

I've seen all of the films about Yeshua (Jesus) and I must say, Henry Ian Cusick's performance struck me as the one closest to the biblical Yeshua as recorded in the 1st century Gospels.

Henry Ian Cusick's performance is the best portrayal of Jesus I have ever seen. He is so natural in the role, he's riveting.

Henry Ian Cusick, Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ), and Robert Powell (Jesus of Nazareth) are the best. Robert Powell embodied how I view the Lord. Henry Ian Cusick, like most have said, was just natural in the role but I think he overracted a little bit in the crucifixion. Jim Caviezel portrayed the Suffering Servant perfectly, and his portrayal reminded me of Robert Powell. All of these men deserve great recognition for their portrayals of Christ. The shocking part of all is that Robert Powell is not a Christian and I think he gave the best performance of them all. As far as I know, Cusick and Caviezel are both Catholics.

I am a proud believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Before I'd seen this movie, I'd have told you that Robert Powell's portrayal of Jesus was my favorite. The character of Jesus in this movie had more layers... more dimension. He laughed, he wept, he was frustrated, reverent, loving, friendly, angry, patient, and holy. The more I see this movie, the more I love Cusick's portrayal of Jesus. It's totally different from all others, but oh, so believable and genuine. Every time he says "I am telling you the truth", I want to say "I KNOW!" :)

Yes, Cusick's performance, for me at least, ruined it for anybody else. I can't imagine anyone being more natural or believable in the part. He was so natural it was almost like watching real life, except of course, for the fact that Jesus wouldn't be speaking English...lol...but you KNOW what I mean! Thanks for your input, it's interesting to get other people's opinions.

I (finally!) found on You Tube and the movie is very well done. I really believe it's HIC's best work! As much as I enjoyed Jeremy Sisto's portrayal as Jesus in the 1999 movie, this is better.

Agreed!! Such a beautiful performance--Cusick's portayal of Jesus's gentleness, calmness and peacefulness--really, I know I do not have the words to express what I see.
