That house fell apart quite quickly

The time lapse scene seemed to show the husband abandon the house and then it look a bit worn down and then the grass had grown quite a bit in the next scene and then it looked like a meteor had destroyed it in the next scene. In reality a house like that in Stratford would have been a gold mine and there'd be no way the owners would just leave it to collapse like that.
