Problems with Bender..... HELP!!!

I'm on the mine level with Bender on the bit where you have to jump, cling-on and pull yourself up onto these platforms which come out of and disappear back into the wall. I can cling on to the ledges...but no matter what I do Bender won't pull himself up! HELP! I've tried pushing "up" on both the digital and analogue stick....but it hardly ever works.

It is more diagonal than it is up.... if you want to pull yourself up.... if climbing up and to the left, move the controlled to about 10:30 ish

I never did beat this game....

lol i got to the end, but then i had to bring it back to blockbuster

It was awesome.... I've clocked it a couple of times... one of the few one player games that I really get down on!
