Why an 'R' rating?

Am I just not hearing bad language because I have heard so much of it in films or was there not a lot of bad language in "Don't Come Knockin'"? and where was the brief nudity? Was that when "Amber" was laying in bed in her under wear? That's not nudity, is it? I know I heard F word, is that all it takes to get an "R" rating?

I think a scene of a tire being shot out, and of two women showing their breasts for a brief second were cut out of the dvd. This belief is based on the trailer, and other people's comments.

I saw this film at the 2006 Bangkok Intl. Film Festival and thought it was great. Subsequently, I got it from netflix and was really disappointed. At least three major segments were seriously cut or removed. The first was a sex/drug party in the beginning of the film, the second was editing the drunken casino scene (and cutting what I felt was sheperd's strongest acting in the film), and third, a condensed version of father/son action in the last part of the film. I'm sure there were also other cuts. The netlix cd is a real pity. The film version at the festival in Bangkok was a legitimate "R", I think, unlike the pablum netflix one.
