This is why you don't let actors write movies


What a piece of boring, vane self-masturbation. Earth to Sam Sheppard, movies are supposed to entertain us. Yours didn't. It was dreadful, every friggin' scene.

Sam Shepard is first and foremost a playwright, then an actor. It's a shame you didn't like it. I have yet to see it, but expect great things. Shepard's "True West" is one of my favorite plays of all time.

I would assume that you ended up being disappointed.

The failure of this movie is that it tried to mix stage melodrama with indie naturalism - that's just not going to work.
