Why did the singer of los perros mojados and the son (Bobbie) disapper yet the daughter was left behind? I was confused why one kid was taken and not the other if they are both from the same parents.

She did not dissapear because the band leader was not her father. The earthy next door neighbor guy was here father. It is clearly revelaed in the film

That still doesn't make sense given the fact that the reporter (who is not biologically Latina) still disappeared.

Lyla Rodriquez did not disappear! Where did you get that idea? Her "disappearance" from the hospital was staged between her camera man & the nurse who knew that deadly experiments were about to be performed on her.
