Look, I haven't seen this one yet, I've only seen the first one and the sequel (which actually wasn't half-bad, though not as well-written), but since is the only one so far that have survived the cube and he got outside of it, shouldn't he be in this movie? Doesn't make sense!!!
Well the whole purpose of the last 5 minutes of this movie is to explain where people like Kazan came from. So you should probably watch this movie first and start threads to discuss it later.
Cube's original ending showed what happened to Kazan, but Natali removed it from the movie, and likely destroyed it. If we really want to get into it and assume what happened in this was true, then we get one of the following.
#1: Kazan was give the same test Owen had to face. If he answered wrong, then he was killed. If he answered right, it's uncertain. I believe the test is a trap, so no matter what happens, you're still going to end up dead.
#2: Kazan made it to the outside and either got away or was recaptured.
Wikipedia has a weird theory about the ending. It states that because of how he was acting when he met the other prisoners, that it's very possible that he might have been Kazan.
I'm not exactly sure what to believe, but how matter how you spin it, Kazan got *beep* and never get his gumdrops.

There's a thread on here talking about Kazan and Wynn, and the Cube Zero wiki mentions that (1) Kazan was lobotimized like Wynn or (2) Wynn is actually Kazan.
