Why this movie kicked ass compared to the others.

The first Cube may have been the best in the suspense/adventure department, but honestly this is the only movie of the three that had some pretty good acting.

In the first one we have low budget actors and poorly acted characters like Quentin and Holloway. Hypercube sucked as a movie and had a joke of a cast as well, and everything about Hypercube sucked that you would never guess they'd pop something like Cube Zero out next.
But honestly this was the only film of the three where I didn't find myself groaning over the overdone acting. Anyone else think so?

Hm, I found there was a hug difference between the cast inside and outside the cube.

I found the 3 "bad boys" and the 2 "technicians"'s acting extremely good. But the "prisoners" in the Cube acted very poorly in my opinion.

Interestigly this is somehow reflected by the change (for the worse) in Zachary Bennett's acting once entering the Cube himself.

That's funny, I thought the acting was MUCH worse than in the two previous movies. The prisoners were terrible, David Huband as Dodd was over-acting at its worst, the only ones that kept their dignity intact to me was Zachary Bennett and Michael Riley as Jax. I couldn't STAND the bad writing either. The "secret" behind the cube is not even fully revealed, and the part of it that is is not even that interesting, the pace of the movie is uneven, the story is horrible... and the ending... SUCKED!
Hypercube was at least remotely entertaining and quite funny, this one was just awfully mediocre.

Worth and Kazan were pretty good in the first...in this one no one stood out very well, except Jax, who when he first came onscreen I thought would be silly, but his over-the-topness works and is actually entertaining to watch.

I definitely found this one more watchable than the other two based around acting and characters. The concept of the Cube movies is what makes it good; the actors and dialogue are just abysmal.

I think I enjoyed Cube Zero the most of the three.
