at the banquet the old partisan sings "Fischia il vento"

The Italian song at the banquet is an adaptation of the Russian WW2 pseudo-folk tune "Katyusha":

does anyone know the song that giorgio starts and the people sing.

reply

Homunculus and Fernaspero are both right. It is "Fischia il vento", the Italian version of "Katyusha", same music, different words. Nothing to do with "Bella, ciao".

Sure,it Was "Fischia il Vento",from russian song!!
Bella ciao is another! There is notone group or singer that recorded it,it's a popular partisan one!
this is the lyric:
Fischia il vento, urla la bufera
scarpe rotte eppur bisogna andar

vittoriosi, alfin liberi siam.
