I JUST FINISHED WATCHING 'BLACK WATER LIGHTSHIP' AND I REALLY DID ENJOY IT.
I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND IN THE MOVIE THAT THEY TALKED MUCH ABOUT THE SUBJECT OF GAYS AND AIDS AND HOW THE ONE WITH AIDS FEELS TOWARD HIS/HER FAMILY AND FAMILY OF FRIENDS. I MENTIONED THE WORD SUPRISED BECAUSE I WENT INTO THE MOVIE WITH ANOTHER IDEA OF WHAT IT WAS ABOUT. I LOVED THE STORY AS WELL AS THE CHARACTERS AND ACTORS/ACTRESSES IN THE MOVIE.........
Marya....I missed seeing this film when it was aired and now I find it isn't available on VHS. You didn't by any chance tape it? If so, would you want to sell it? I'm very eager to see it because of Gina McKee...I only just discovered her on Forsythe Saga and want to see her other work. Many thanks...Marilyn

I'm sorry but I don't think I would be able to find the tape.... you see, my hubby taped it for me and reused the tape (I think) I really liked this movie and maybe there is a remote chance hasn't retaped over it...

I've only just discovered this was shot as as movie.. Love Colm Toibin's writing, it's not often I read a book that I don't want to finish but that's how I felt with The Blackwater Lightship.
