This and Get Shorty have been running since late last year (Get Shorty on Cinemax, this on Starz) and I really loved Get Shorty. Knowing the rep this film has, I watched it....

And it really isn't that bad. It isn't Get Shorty, but its still pretty fun to watch.

I don't know if I like the movie or if I just like the nostalgia of the mid-2000's: spinning rims, obnoxious tracksuits, Hummers, etc.

Still a fun movie to watch.

And Vince Vaughn's chuckle/laugh during his first scene always cracks me up.

I really like the movie. It's funny to me and sometimes you just want to laugh

It's more than funny.

It's self-referential.

It's a pastiche of itself. And serious at the same time. Not quite as masterfully done as Planet Terror but close.

The reason Leonard didn't like it, was the off beat sometimes deliberately banal humor that only hit a marginal audience.

It's miles above Get Shorty because it also has that awkward humor. If that.

I loved it!!! When I saw the low rating and the negative posts I couldn't believe it. I thought Travolta was fantastic, the plot was great, all acting was great. I laughed and laughed!

I laughed out loud several times. John Travolta was great, so were all the other actors. Cedric the Entertainer surprised me and really took over his role.

I liked it. Definitely rehashed Get Shorty a bit too much but I thought the great cast made up for it.

This had to be one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. One of the few times I legitimately believe I was entitled to my money back (the other time was Meet the Spartans).
