I was very entertained by this movie. I admit I never really understood what the Russians were after, but ... I thought they were a perfect fit for a corrupt LA.

I don't really like all that many movies, but I do like Travolta and Vaughn, and I thought Dwayne Johnson was pretty damn funny :) Travolta didn't dance in Premonition.

Cedric the Entertainer was not as humorous as from Barbershop, but still what a great gangsta role, and some good lines with Daboo over tea and semiauto pistols.
This is one of my favorite Cedric movies :)

And how could you fail to enjoy Uma wiggling around on the lounge chair by the pool in that little bikini. Yum.

I agree with your title.
For me, this movie has everything a chilled out, thursday night, easy going comedy should have. It's not genius, it's not a masterpiece, but the nice thing is... It doesn't try to be one. You can just sit back and enjoy it.
At least I can! :)

Totally agree - loved this film when it came out, still love it and watch it regularly with my wife and teenage son.

I was very disappointed when this came out. It wasn't much like Get Shorty at all. But this is a damn enjoyable film. Bright and colorful, with lots of crazy performances and music.
