Movie?

I think this series would translate well to the big screen. I also saw the movie "Mysterious Skin" and Gregg Araki's treatment of the characters and the story made me think he would be great to write and direct this. I really loved this series and was sad that it hasn't been continued so I can only hope for a movie.
