Mirage of Blaze isn't exactly like this one...but if you like Yami no Matsuei...then you'll like Mirage of Blaze. There's also Gravitation, which is pretty good.

Tactics deals with monsters and goblins, etc, and sorta hints at a relationship between the two main characters, but nothing happens. Kyo Kara Maoh is more swords and sorcery than ghosts and goblins. It's like a harem anime, but with bishies instead of moe girls. It's funny and cute and awesome! Two other great shows are Sukisho and Loveless. They are both very pretty and have wall to wall bishies.

If your looking for more 'death/wicked' style you could give 'deathnote' a go.
Now, if you'll excuse me... I have to go yell at the idiots in the T.V.
Bleach- another anime that features Shinigami but unlike this one, Bleach is not a Shonen-ai series.
Loveless, I have heard is similar to this. Although I have not seen it personally.
Gravitation- another Shonen-ai anime series, but it deals with the music industry and features a love between a poet/novelist and the lead singer of an upcoming new band.
Gakuen Heaven- although it is a shonen-ai series, it is set in an exclusive all male college.
