So many headbutts

I'm about halfway thru season 7 on Netflix, and I swear not one episode goes by without a headbutt. I guess the English have incredibly hard foreheads and even softer noses because the former always seems fine and the latter always bleeds instantly. It's a bit ridiculous lol and pretty silly if you ask me. Wouldn't you guys agree?

I noticed that too, but I don't find it ridiculous. I was headbutted once, and it was only as a joke. Not in the nose, but on the side of the head. Just a light tap, and it hurt like hell. when done properly, I am sure that it would knock a person right out. I'm sure it is much more prevalent there, since soccer is the sport they play from childhood. Also, it doesn't take much to make a nose bleed. I would think there would be more broken noses if this were done in real life.

I would just like to see 1 episode where Lip doesn't get the crap beaten out of him! Haven't seen one yet. LOL

It is definitely an English thing. Having watched many a BBC production, the head butting is one thing you can almost always count on, especially so when the subject matter deals with the lower classes.

On the rather sedate series "Derek", the one scene which I remember showing any kind of violence was a headbutt when someone insulted the Derek character in a pub. It was a mild mannered nurse administering the headbutt.

I have seen it creeping into American TV shows and movies occasionally. It seems almost innovative here, which is funny when you think about it.
