After finished with Mad men was looking for something else to get into, stumbled on to shameless. I'm on my first episode, from a scale of 1-10, how would you rate it?

British version I give a 9 due to the fact growing up on a council estate and have a large family.
It might be a bit romanticised but it shows council community life quite honestly.

American I give an 8 as it's a great remake and actually works very well in the u.s setting but it is it's own beast. William H Macy for Frank was pretty great choice too.

Both versions I think is good. The US starts off with a bang grabs you right away, looses some steam around s4-5 picks back up in season 6.
The U.K. version starts off slow, was very quite boring for a few seasons. It put me to sleep almost every night at first, grabs you around season 5, if my memory serves me correctly.
