THE MEMORY OF WATER - 'WILL THE REAL JIM PLEASE STAND UP'

Just finished watching the Season 2 Episode 'The Memory of Water' episode.

Intertwined throughout were talks and references to Jim (a real Jim and
a fake Jim), Martin's brother.

I'm confused. Was that the real Jim the Rosemary and Laura first
saw entering into that back garden?

And at the end, Eddie (Martin's wife's lover) drowns himself. What part did he have re: Jim? Was he the 'Jim' who first went into the river?

They relied on the fact neither Rosemary or Laura had seen the real Jim. Rosemary saw the imposter jump in and Martin identified the real Jim who was found later (the whole thing would have been unravelled if Rosemary had to also confirm the id of the body found).
