'I Love the 70's' Part Two!?

Ok, all I need to know...when is "I Love the 70's" getting a sequal? I mean, everything else has! "I Love the 80's" Strikes Back, and "I Live the 90's" Part Deux.

Is it ever gonna come back, the sweet gem, "I Love the 70's"?

Also, any other decades (doubt it) or sequal to present "I Love the" shows?

reply

reply

There will be an "I Love The 70's: Part II", "I Love The 80's: 3D", and "I Love The Holidays". All are expected to be coming soon, with "I Love The 80's: 3D", beginning October 24-28.

Crazy how many great screenplays are out there, yet films like "Stealth" are in 1800 screens

I always wanted an 'I Love The 60's', but the usual people they have on 'i love the' are a little to young to remember. They would likely need other people which would not be the same.

It's really time for "I Love the 60's" the people don't really have to remember
it they can just study the decade and take it from there. The people in the
"I Love the 70's" did not really remember the 70's so it does not matter.

But the problem with having the guests just watching stuff on video from the 60s is that they won't have the same in-depth knowledge they have with the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The reason these ones have been so funny is that all the people that they've brought on to the shows is that they grew up and had experience with all the shows and fads that existed in those decades.

Just think about it, take someone that lived through and remembers the 80s well, like Michael Ian Black or Mo Rocca, and take someone thats only 20 or so and watched a whole lot of videos documenting the 80s. Wouldn't you think Michael or Mo would have much more in-depth knowledge of the 80s than that 20 yr old person?

Plus, theres a lot of stuff these people have experienced that aren't recorded anywhere, like stuff their friends did that someone born in the 90s wouldn't have any knowledge of.

Basically, its better to have someone that has lived through the decade than someone who hasn't.

Actually, most of the people doing "I Love The 70s" were born in the 1970s. So they're doing exactly what you're describing, Raziel101326198, and watching videos of stuff from that era. I mean, they have two of The Donnas on there. Weren't they all born in the 80s?

reply

They are doing another I love the 70's. it is called "I Love The 70's: Again."

Take it from someone who spent the 70's growing up. I do remember when the Weebles came out in '71. I spent the whole 10 episodes sitting in front of my TV laughing my *** off. I knew every year. But they have tons missing. I was hoping they would figure it out sooner or later. Took them long enough. cannot wait to see it. I did enjoy all the I love the 80's series since I was still in high school and young at heart. Only the early years 80-84 were really good years. 86-89- not too bad but not that great either.

they have to talk about Rocky Horror...i mean that was a pretty much a big starting point for Tim Curry and Susan Saradan(i can spell and im too lazy to check) and others

questions? comments? concerns? expressions of love?

In the 1977 espisode they talked about arnold schwarzenegger winning a competition in 1975. They did this a few times , I can't remember though which episode it was, but I remember thinking that they got the years messed up.
