I enjoyed part 1 but hated part 2

They chose to completely demonize King James, he was Bi, not some stereotypical Gay man who hates Women. He did love Anne.

I don't think this particular Monarch would be so unpopular with the Liberal Media if his name wasn't attached to the most popular English Bible translation.

And how come part 2 has all those 4th wall breaking Monologues when part 1 didn't, it seems so Random.

I have not watched Part 2 yet, I only saw Part 1 a few days ago and am letting it simmer.

The fact that they break the 4th wall-does nothing for me. So we have Zack Morris crossed with King James.

I do not have to be in any sort of a hurry is what your post is telling me.

I totally agree. It's almost like they were made by two different crews. I liked it ok once i got into it, but it wasn't nearly as good as the first half. Oddly enough, A Passionate Woman on BBC was exactly the same way. The first half was passionate and dramatic, the second was odd and quirky with a whole seperate cast.

I just watched it today on Netflix, and I kept thinking it looked like it was shot by two completely different crews. The first part was good, but the second was a mess. Watch them together and it was all over the place. Awful, awful "miniseries."

The truth is never flattering, Dr. Adams.
You fine, foxy lady.

I totally agree. Loved the first epi, didn't care if I even finished the second.
