What do we think about Bomani Jones?

He's very bland. He's not like the others. There is absolutely no inflection in any of his statements. I don't think I've ever seen him smile on the show, even when everybody else is laughing at something stupid Woody or Cowlishaw says. I don't know if I like him all that much.

Thoughts?

He's the title belt holder, so he's got that. I love what he adds to the show. Also his tweets are about a B+ on the entertaining scale.

I didn't think much of him. That changed after he called out David Stern (for not punishing KG for his incident with Channing Frye). The media covers for David Stern too much. Bomani isn't a favorite of mine, he's been alright though.

Reboot, restart or re-imagining is another word for remake

I think he's gotten a bit better over the course of the year - a little more comfortable, not as stiff as he was early on.

However, that still only gets him to "okay at best" in terms of overall quality. He doesn't really add a unique voice or particularly thoughtful viewpoint to the show, and doesn't have the wit some of the others do.

Also, I don't care for the whole belt schtick - it's corny and you can tell the others dislike it too.

I like him. Better than Bill Plaschke, who I disagree with 80% of the time.

He's terrible. He's supposed to represent the Raleigh/NC markets, but never even talks about those teams (NC State/UNC/Duke, Hurricanes, Panthers). At least TRY to practice some homerism like the other panelists do. Plus that pinkie ring crap is retarded. At least he retired the WCW title belt gimmick.

Jones is starting to get a little momentum on this show. It doesn't happen overnight.

Watch him on the other shows he guests on.

He does very well with Rome, and he now has a semi-regular spot on Le Batard's show, where he is very good.

My favorite shows include Paige, Cowlishaw, Adande, and Blackistone. You could sub in Jones for JA or Kevin, and the show doesn't drop off a whole lot.

Those are the top 5 guys IMO, but the show lags when Cowlishaw and Paige are absent.
