Who Is The Most Hated Man On ESPN?

Jay Mariotti, Steven A. Smith, Skip Bayless or other? Stat Punk would get my vote God I HATE him. Please bring back Kellerman.

P.S. It would seem that there are a lot of non Bayless fans around. How anybody could hate him is beyond me. He really knows his stuff & is way smarter than Woody Paige who I really think is out of his mind.

reply

I love Mariotti. Steven A. Smith is a jackass. Skip Bayless is an incompitent ass. But to be honest, I cannot STAND Bill Placshke. Ugh.

Also, don't be hatin' on Tony Reali. I think he does a great job.

reply

Skip Bayless is a Moron

reply

Skip Bayless is cool man, I always get a kick out of his rants and raves....hard to tell cause I dont have anyone on ESPN, but based on my chat buddies they mostly hate either sean salisbury, chris berman, and/or jay mariotti

reply

Mariotti is fine, so is Stat Boy. And for god sakes no one could ever, or should ever replace Woddy Paige. Are you drunk or something?

reply

Skip Bayless and Jay Mariotti are so negative about sports it's frustrating as a fan.

Bill Plaschke is such an uptight, conservative pro-LA tool. I can't stand him.

#1 is Stuart Scott though. There's tons of other black anchors all over ESPN, and they all don't completely live up every sterotype. "Highlights so good you could sop it up with a biscuit"

Really hard to pick a #2.

I cannot stand Stuart Scott, lazy eyed freak. He is my most hated man, followed closely by Stephen A. Smith, and Tony Kornheiser.

I agree, Jay Mariotti always criticizes teams from Chicago. He is an idiot. He has a thing against Bulls and Whitesox owner Jerry Reinsdorf. Mariotti is a jerk off his articles are just written to piss people off. He is a loud mouthed idiot. I dont like him but I have to admit he makes Around the Horn entertaining as does Woody Paige.

I agree, Stuart Scott is my most hated person on ESPN. We get it you're black, stop announcing hilights in ebonics.

I dont like Peter Gammons or Joe Morgan Either, Most of the baseball people on ESPN need to find other jobs and John Kruk needs to find a tread mill

Yea Jay is always slamming chicago teams and he is from there...not originally so maybe thats why..he is from pittsburgh, but damn jay give chicago so love man...woody rules!!!

reply

i can't stand skip bayless, he's an arrogant prick.

mariotti's a "richard" (as quoted by woody paige, who i think is hilarious). i also don't like kevin blackistone. i love all the other panelists, especially michael smith. and i have nothing against jackie macmullen, but i hate that she goes to the showdown *every* *time* she's on the show. not that the points matter or anything, but still.

john clayton's annoying, and mark schlerath thinks he knows everything about the sport of football just because he's an ex-player (he was in the O-Line for 3 superbowl teams, but that doesn't make him right about everything).

and finally i can't stand harold reynolds from baseball tonight. that douche bag coudln't keep his story straight if his life depended on it. he'll completely call out a team before a game, and then when that team wins, the next night he'll say all these good things about them and how he knew they were going to win. can't stand him.

but woody paige is great, and i love the PTI guys. kenny mayne (screw 'dancing with the stars' and come back to espn) and scott van pelt are great on sports center.

For me, it's definitely Mike Wilbon. He overdoes the whole "macho man" thing where he wants everyone to get a beat-down, and he purposely shows no respect toward any living thing. I mean every single time they talk about animals, he mentions how he thinks they deserve to die a painful death and end up on his plate or something. What's he so angry about anyway? It seems like an act.

reply

"it seem like and act"
you answered your own question. it's just humor. wilbon's great.

SEAN SALISBURY SUCKS!!!!!! He doesn't know anything and 90% of the time he is wrong with anything he says. I love when told John clayton he never played in the NFL and Clayton said "neither did you". please tell me more people feel this way about Salisbury. Also stuart scott is annoying and so is that Howie guy from stump the schwab WHAT A LOSER!

reply

Most annoying is definitely Berman.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

reply

Ditto for Salisbury...I cannot stand his arrogance and his horrible way he treats people. He thinks he's god's gift to football analysis and he couldn't be further from the truth. I blame ESPN for putting someone like him on tv. He can't read nor can he write, yet they put him against award winning long term intellectuals like Bob Ryan and John Clayton...guys who may have never played the game, but guys who have studied extensively and earned their spots, unlike an illiterate, thrid rate QB who got lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to blow the producer to get on an international stage.

Salisbury is a hack who never picked up a pen in his life and I pity the minions who he has to pay to wind him up and program his mainframe so he can speak in complete sentences.

All hated others pale in comparison.

Honestly he seems like hes CONSTANTLY drunk...did u see the episode where he was on mike and mike he was laughing like crazy at jokes that were really not that funny....thats probably why he seems "out of it" but he always talks good about the steelers so I like him alot

I see your point spam-o-matic, but I don't really see the goal of that kind of humor unless the act that he's putting on is satirical in some form. I mean, if he were poking fun at the stereotypical ultra-macho men by acting like that, then it would be funny how he exaggerates it. But his real feelings seem to lie somewhere in between, and then for no reason he'll say offensive stuff. I mean it makes sense when he exaggerates with respect to someone like Terrell Owens deserving a beat-down (I can see the humor there regardless of whether or not I agree), but the other stuff where he talks about people and animals who didn't DO ANYTHING wrong is kinda random and not really funny.

reply

I like Wilbon, but my only beef is that he looks like Sir Mix-Alot. No, seriously, look at the video for "Baby Got Back", I swear it's Mike Wilbon.

people are forgetting dan le batard. i cannot watch pti when he's on, he's soooo boring and awful at the whole debating aspect of the show.

but my vote is for the entire sunday night football announcing crew (paul maguire, theisman, mike patrick. they are the biggest ass kissers ever. they gush over players like 13-year old girls thinking about insync. it drives me crazy! i'm glad that they wont be doing the monday night games next season.

reply

Oh forgot about Dan le ba-retard.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

reply

By far, it's Chris Berman. Berman's corny nicknames and senseless non sequitors get in the way of calling the games or broadcasting highlights. He honestly feels like he's more important than the actual game itself. The other people that were mentioned earlier are annoying but Berman is the worst. And with that...

STOP HATIN'

reply

OMG the Sunday night Football announcers! I have to mute them and listen to national radio because they are by far the worst EVER! Paul Mcguire must think we don't know what a football looks like!

"You know what happened? I'll tell you what happened...he dropped the ball" -Mcguire on every single play where a reciever drops a ball!

They had to have gotten paid by the word.

The worst EVER EVER EVER!!!! I am glad they are gone. I am leary of Theisman in his new role but maybe Tirico can keep him in check and Kornheiser can stand up to him like he does Wilbon. Patrick was too chicken to do it. But I still maintain the most "hated" honor goes to Sean Salisbury...see previous comment on that chestnut.

reply

wheneer the sunday night football team does a game, whenevr someone makes a play, theisman sucks there di*k off.

Skip Bayless takes himself way too seriously, I can't stand listening to him on cold pizza. Also Jay Marriotti is exactly the same way, they are both tools. I used to hate Stephen A. Smith, but after listening to him for a while and watching his show Quite Frankly, I found hes a real smart guy, who knows his *beep* about sports Basketball in particular. Having said that Gregg Anthony is the biggest prick in the world. About this time last year they were talkinga bout who was going to be the NBA MVP. Anyway the ESPN senior Basketball writer, i forget his name, said it would be Steve Nash, and Gregg Anthony started like yelling at him and said "No this segment is over, you clearly are wrong, the MVP is Shaquille O'neil, we are done with this segment"...what a *beep* baby...and Steve Nash was the MVP, so *beep* him...I wish someone on ESPN would get a hold of that tape and play it for him when Nash wins the MVP AGAIN this year...or maybe kobe
