What happened to Michael Smith?

I know he works for ESPN.com but so does Adande, yet he still comes on. I thought Smith was the most reasonable of them, even though Reali screwed him out of wins so many times.

Michael Smith made a triumphant return today! Funny you should ask that!

Yea he seems to stop by occasionally now. He has been busy with outside the lines and ESPN 360. I am cool with it anyway Reali had a bit too much of a man crush on him for my taste.

From what I remember, Michael Smith got really pissed at Reali when Tony kept deducting points while Smith was making his point. He would be making his point and he'd see his point total go down and say, "Whoa! What are you doing?" For the rest of the episode he had this incredibly furious look on his face.

A few weeks ago he was back on and in one of his arguments he said something like, "I'm not coming back if this is how I'm going to be treated."

I think he left because he was furious with Reali.

I saw that show as it happened and knew that Smith would be gone. Reali was picking on him for some reason (like he occasionally does to everyone). Like the show goes, people were piling on a bit. But it wasn't anything out of the norm for the show.

Smith just got a stick up his butt and didn't come on again.. until recently.

He was taking himself too seriously. And the show.

He has his own show now called "His And Hers" with Jemele Hill! It was called "Numbers Never Lie!" I don't watch it much!

Michael Smith and Jemele Hill get along on the set and off of it, but Michael is much better without Jemele. Even when they appear together on Mike & Mike, they don't add much. His rare appearances on Around The Horn and hosting His & Hers with a guest host are the few times I enjoy listening to him. Years ago, Michael Smith was one of my favorite guest hosts for Mike & Mike, I thought he and Greenberg worked well together. They reminded me of some duos in buddy cop movies.
