Does anyone know what kind of guitar the guy in the band was playing. Not the Les Paul but the Fender. I think it was a Mustang but I'm not sure. Thanks.

It's actually a reverse Gibson Firebird with 3 P-90 pickups. The headstock was pretty much an exact copy of Fender's, with the banjo tuners aligned on the same side, until Gibson was sued and had to "reverse" it as well. It looks like an early '60s, but with all the reissues of late it's hard to tell. She's a beauty alright.
