I'm surprised this got such high reviews. I watched it all and felt irritated at all the yelling, annoyed with Claire, the sister, and when the movie was over I felt like I wasted my time.

I agree. Every character was worthy of brutal butchery, and yet they weren't. The nonsensical plot also went nowhere. Maddening!

I agree with both of you. What a crapy movie. It's really waste of time. Poor acting combined with cheap melodramatic moments in order to produce pseudo-intellectual impression. Are viewers really supposed to think about the morale of this movie after watching it? I think we're just supposed to delete it from our PC hard discs.

i think the whole movie is on a faulty foundation. i mean, the night a girl's father dies her father's former student is going through his books AND invites her to his band? did i mention that was on the evening that her father died?

or that the brilliant geeky math boy doesn't recognize that katie is already hopelessly nutso! as if it were just some moment of doubt ...

i could go on but

I thought it was a movie ran by emotion. I couldn't look away, I even cried at times. I quite enjoyed it. The ending could of been done a bit better though but the overall film and concept was very interesting.

to each his own...
i LOVE it! ive watched it over + over + over. but, that the type of girl i am. i find it comforting. i wouldnt change a thing, well, except maybe to include more math.
