Overboard(spoilers)


I don't think there is anything the kids could have done once George went in the water. George was bigger than all of them and probably would have drowned any of them trying to rescue him. Not really sure why the kids tried to cover up the death. Their 'enemy' died accidentally regardless of how they got him out there.

Because on the camera it would of showed they didn't jump in immediately to save George and also they were afraid the cops would be suspicious when they find out Sam and George had a fight a few days prior and would lead them to think it was murder.

My point is George would have likely drowned any of the kids attempting to rescue him. He was larger and couldn't swim...the other kids weren't trained lifeguards. The death was an accident and they should have reported it instead of trying to live with a cover up.

Agreed, it was death by misadventure. No need to cover it up, but obvious why they went that route to begin with.

They've actually made it harder for themselves by burying the body, but if they all tell the truth about how it happened then case closed.
