favorite battle? (spoilers obviously)
i think it was izo going against all the soldiers with the submachineguns.
shareI have to say this movie is NOT about the action scenes imho but if i had to choose it would be that one... just for one little brief part when he fires the sub-machine gun, and has a look of amazemnet on his face. That was priceless

shareI loved the part when he was sucked into the lake also but more so because it sent him flying into the Wedding ceremony. He knocks over the bride and groom flying in and stands there looking confused. The groom makes the mistake of punching Izo for ruining the Wedding and kills him and the bride, only to be sucked right back out.
Two other parts that I loved were when the two salesmen turned into vampires and started stabbing him with kitchen knives; or when he finally came in to see the Japanese elite. I thought Takeshi Kitano should put up a good fight, only for it to cut to the next scene where Izo is sitting on a throne surrounded by the cut off heads of the Japanese officials.
One more scene I thought was cool was at the beginning when the two samarai were standing in the street facing Izo and the trucks are swerving around them at barely missing them whil Izo and samarai don't even flinch.
This was a fun movie that I quite enjoyed.
Awesomeness-wise, I think I would have to say where he's sucked into the lake, kills the bride and groom, flies through the wall into the school, and murders everyone in the halls.
Action-wise, probably when with the soldiers, smashes through the couple's wall, gets them shot to death, jumps through the window, and proceeds to hack, slash, stab, and trick all the soldiers (he actually makes two shoot eachother because he's just that awesome.)
Funnyness-wise, I'd have to say the part after he had just killed the demonslayer guys with the swords, and the wannabe-gangsters attacked him with shovels, bats, and a bo staff, AFTER WITNESSING HIM SLAUGHTER SWORDSMEN! There's just so many.
Honourable mention goes to the part with the monks, and the "saint of saints" guy who gets stabbed.
