IS is based on true story?

I'm just wondering if this is based on a true story. I've been searching for information and have found nothing. But a drama teacher once told me it was. ANd they make it all sound so real. Maybe I've just swallowed the whole thing just like Alfredo made everybody do in the movie. I also noticed that the "real" older actors are much older than the should be, having a cast so young for something that happened in the 1990's so....whatever. I still love the movie.

Oh well.....fooled me!

It's not. I didn't find that much information on it, but the first address to go to for basic information like that would always be Wikipedia, and on its page there it says

presented as a retrospective false documentary,
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noviembre_%28film%29). I think it's a great film, but didn't understand why they would use actors that are too old to match the story either. Maybe they wanted them to be able to look back at it after having reached a certain amount of "wiseness" or something but then, why not set the main story in the 80s? Meh, whatever, good film nonetheless.

So in conclusion, I hope you realise you're reading my signature.

I guess that is a small flaw. However its true that is irrelevant. This film has hit the nail on the head not just about art but the way we live our lives dreary, soulless, dull and uneventful! That is the purpose of this fictitious theater group, to bring life back to life, to liberate people, to excite and on its most basic level, to entertain. I have always felt that art was meant to be on the streets. Its amazing seeing this movie, the concept is something I have talked about and tried to push although im not in theater myself. If people were to actually pull this off...man, I'd wanna see that.
