Philip Seymour Hoffman was nominated for an Emmy for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie"??? Does he have someone like Pia Zadora's husband spreading loot around? His performance was the weakest in the movie!

shareI don't think he had a total of 10 minutes screen time in the whole thing. He hardly spoke more than a few lines, which were all delivered in a monotone. There was really no "performance" to speak of. I agree with the OP on this one.
shareThe performance is fine, just miniscule. Why he was nominated just shows how silly annual showbiz awards are. The author Richard Russo was deeply upset by Hoffman's death. He wrote Everybody's Fool with him in mind.
