I think one of the reasons this movie works so well, is the soundtrack, every song that came on I was reminded of the original Stanley movie, my favourite was near the end when Alan gets thrown in the sea and the music from clockwork orange when Alex is nearly drowned by his 2 ex 'Droogs' is playing. also the opening sequence with the 2 punks was great, the perfect way to start the film

I think about half the soundtrack was from Kubrick films: A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odessy, Barry Lyndon...and I believe some jazz playing in the background during one scene was from The Killing.

Also the ending use of "Midnight, the Stars and You".
