Anyone seen it?

I have heard that Traci Brooks is in this movie? Anyone have any info or details on this?

reply

yes, she's the stunt double for the lead role, she does all the wrestling and fighting

reply

It's an enjoyable 76 minutes with some nice costume design, cool grappling and some gratuitous nudity. Surf music, luchadores, zombies, lesbians...if only they'd had a bigger budget for the special effects..

traci brooks is totally in it. she is:

zombie in pink fur boots that you see in group scenes throughout the film (when girl dies outside the club, when zombies charge through door where girls are chained to wall). she also does all of the fight scenes for Mercedes (with a wig on), she's the one that fights the zombie king at the end, she fights the French Vixen...

i see traci at indy wrestling cards that the actor that played Tiki puts on here in toronto www.bloodsweatandears.com

i said it before and i'll say it again, i'll work with wrestlers over actors any day.

Yeah, I've seen this and I live in the UK.
This is a totally awesome movie and I have been recomending it to alot of my mates. I guess I am 1 of a small number of people here in the UK who have seen this. But hopefully the word on this small movie will spread.

By the way Stacey, is there any chance of a 2nd film?

reply

Apparently a sequel was shot last summer, but Stacey wasn't involved.

An even lower budget sequel was shot last summer, it has yet to be edited. EZK won an award for BEST FOREIGN SCREENPLAY at the BUENOS AIRES ROJO SANGRE 2005 film festival, and is in the running for another award in at the Fantasporto festival in Portugal later this month.

yea, the movie pretty much sucks. the review sums it up nicely.

this movie is great if you get it. for example, if you enjoy the old SANTO movies and their odd camp humor, off the wall Japanese cinema like WILD ZERO than this is the flick for you. if you prefer big budget Hollywood explosion movies than you probably won't enjoy this. but for those of you that do i highly recomend this movie. the acting is perfectly over the top, its got some juggs and some gore not to mention its shot, edited and lit beautifully. this is the most cinematic dv feature i have ever seen. infact, i'm watching it right now.

I totally dug this movie. If you're going to see this, don't take it too seriously, and don't expect another run-and-gun zombie film. Matter of fact, the zombies are secondary to the rest of the great lucha fun in this flick.

The movie is total popcorn fun! Seen it the other night on Horror or Movies 4 Men mistaking it for the classic 1940s movie. I absolutely loved it it has the kind of charm that's been missing in movies for a long time topped with tons of over the top melodrama ("Tiki couldn't have done this, we have a past"...cue flashback and f-cking lols)

This is a movie for those who long for fun, punchy, ridiculous purposefully self-indulgendt dialouge and luchadores ripping off zombie heads!
In the day and age of gritty realism action flicks and Will Ferrel comedies this is definetly a breath of fresh air if you arn't too high and mighty to apprieciate the small budget.

Loved it, dying to see the sequel.
