Possible Movies?

I think the Twisted Metal series (1-4) Would make a great Quadrilogy(?) movie series. Here are MY own plots...

Twisted Metal 1:
The main hero is Outlaw, sent into the contest to bring in a crazy killer named Needles Kane (Sweet Tooth). He teams up with Warthog and they both work together to stay alive as Thumper, Viper, Yellow Jacket, Dark Side, and all of the others are tearing up L.A. It ultimatly comes down to just Outlaw and Sweet Tooth and it seems like Sweet Tooth may be done for when Minion comes barreling down. Outlaw eventually defeats Minion but Sweet Tooth is no where to be found, Outlaw wins and is, of course, thrown into space (as of TM1).

Twisted Metal 2: Vengence
Main hero is Outlaw 2, seeking revenge for her brother. She, though, finds no one to team up with and its an all out slaughter fest as new drivers are introduced, Axel, Grasshopper, Shadow and others (even ones from the TM1 game who werent in the movie) and the returning Sweet Tooth. It finally seems like Outlaw 2 has it won, burned and twisted metal everywhere, when a giant black Icecream truck, Dark Tooth, shows up. After an awesome battle, Dark Tooth is destroyed and Outlaw 2 is launched into space to be with her brother, once again Calypso twists everyone's words around to screw 'em.

Twisted Metal 3: Demolishion
Outlaw and Outlaw 2 managed to make it back to earth and are the main heroes. They both fight through the most dangerous and bloody TM yet. Sweet Tooth (who has managaed to survive all of contests so far is back, along with Flower Power, Firestarter, and several other deadly warriors. This movie ends with the ressurection of Minion and the justice that Outlaw has been searching for! They finally word their wish correctly and the TM contest is shut down, a pissed of Calypso storms off.

Twisted Metal 4: The Fall of Calypso
Five years after Movie 3, an insane Sweet Tooth along with his gang storm into Calypso's mansion and attack him, sending him flying out a window. Sweet Tooth takes up the ring worn by Calypso in order to grant wishes. He decides to revive Twisted Metal and he will run it himself. The main hero is....(dun dun dun) Calypso himself! He steals a cemitruck armed with a nuclear missile and enters the contest along with a whole new bunch of drivers (only returning being Grimm). Amoung the drivers is Rock Star Legend Rob Zombie! This is the bloodiest and most rockin' TM movie yet featuring music from Rob and White Zombie. When its all done, Calypso wins. He demands that Twisted Metal be turned back over to him, Sweet Tooth, of course, declines. Calypso gets into his truck and fires the nuke, which kills himself and Sweet Tooth. This means that no one is left to run Twisted Metal and the contest is over forever, right? Wrong? After the credits roll, we see Minion bend down and pick something up, the ring maybe?

Anyway! Thats what I think would be cool if it happened, I know it wont tho, but its nice to dream!

Rumor has it they are THINKING (only thinking) about making a Twisted Metal movie. But this was waaaaay back in Spring of '02.

To quote a wise teacher "shut up before I bite your mouth off!"

TWISTED METAL 1: CAST LIST

Needles Kane/Sweet Tooth: Mark Hamill (he's played evil clowns before)
Charlie Kane/Yellow Jacket: Abe Vigoda (perfect old guy)
Mr. Ash/Darkside: Vin Diesel (get it, diesel?)
Sgt. Carl Roberts/Outlaw: Christian Bale (needs a strong male lead for the cop)
Bruce Cochrane/Thumper: Ice Cube (he has the right look)
Agent Stone/Crimson Fury: Forbes March (the guy from Mutant X)
Amanda Fortin/Pit Viper: Alfre Woodard (the chick from Star Trek: First Contact)
Commander Mason/Warthog: Don S. Davis (the old guy from Stargate: SG1)
Mr. Grimm: Marilyn Manson (someone goth)
Scott Campbell/Spectre: Scott Bakula (he's free now since Enterprise is done)
Dave & Mike/Hammerhead: John Cho and Kal Penn (comic relief)
Captain Spears/Road Kill: Johnny Knoxville (the master of mischief)

If you guys can think of better actors, feel free to re-do my list. Thanks.

who would direct

reply

Mark Steven Johnson (the director of Daredevil and Ghost Rider).
When you think about it, Mr. Grimm is kind of like Ghost Rider.

reply

as long as pual ws anderson has nothing to do with it I'm down with that.

reply

Hell no. I *HATE* Paul Anderson, he should be banned from ever directing a movie.
He's the sole reason video game movies have such a bad reputation.

reply

Woah Woah I said as long as he has nothing to do with It okay.

reply

I know what you meant, I was just in agreement with you.

reply

yeah, I hate pual ws anderson a bit I liked mortal kombat and alien vs. predator and the resident evil films but georgr a. romaro would have been the better at doing that, and if he did do a twisted metal film he would change one of the charactor's appearence and personallity just like he did with the Jill valentine charactor in resident evil apocalypse, in the games she is supposed to be 23 not in her late 20's or early 30's and in the game Jill valentine had brown hair not black and wasn't a real badass and didn't smoke, besides that he wopuld suck at doing a twisted metal film, really.

What about Thumper, Crimson Fury and Yellow Jacket?

Mark Steven Johnson would be a terrible choice. I'd pitch for someone like David Fincher or Timur Bekmambetov.

I think I'd cast it with relative unknowns. However, I'd go to say that I'd like to see Tobin Bell in the role of Calypso. I think he's got this great, dark, and cool voice.

Angus Shrimm, the Tall Man, would be another choice for me.

reply

God damn Paul W.S. Anderson for screwing over the Resident Evil films. How dare he.

With all due respect,
Amanda Snicket-Redfield.

reply

Casting a good Twisted Metal movie would be hard. There is no way you can cast that many known actors for that many roles. Which means you would have to have no names... and that might make for *beep* actors and a *beep* movie. Besides, is Twisted Metal even popular enough for good actors to be attracted to... or any director? It is a videogame, remember.

It's not as easy as resurrecting Batman, or making comic book movies like Spider-Man and X-Men.

I'd love to see it happen, though. Even if the movie is half-assed like Mortal Kombat.

reply

yeah i know. it's gonna be hard to make a good plot and good special effects.

Here are my top chocies for Director:

yeah, George Miller is a good chocie, he did all the Mad Max movies.
and i had no Idea that Sony owne the rights, well since the movie would have quite of a budget inall it could need a backup company it should be either be Universal or warner bros.

and how about Michealjai white as Axel.

[deleted]

lets hope Uwe Bolla nd Paul WS anderrson don't do it.

[deleted]

how abput Rob Zombie as Director? he'd be ghreat he did songs for the games and he was even a charcter in tiwsted metal 4. and he'd cast Bill Mosley as Mr. Grimm.

reply

Twisted Matel as movie wold be "done right" an excellent movie to see. to play "the Psychic Clown" Sweet Toot? I say Jake Busey

reply

I really don't know who to cast. But like someone said they would mainly have to be unknowns. I'd say only 1 or 2 well known actors would be in the movie. The only one I can think of is Johnny Depp as Calypso. And direcor would be Rob Zombie.
