Just looked this up because of the 'engagement'

The plot summary and storyline make this sould like a confusing character filed book abd movie that would not be interesting (to me) in the least.

Is it a good story or one of those awful books that the critics fawn over and tell people they should read?

I can't imagine why I would want to read about or see a drunk girl getting gang raped.
