Didn't it seem like Duran Duran was disrespected...

I was just wondering if any Duran Duran fans thought they were a tiny bit screwed.It seems like MTV was like "oh we never gave them any awards before so we'll just them one now" and why did Kelly and Avril give them the award,it was quite obvious Avril had no idea who Duran Duran was and at the post-show when they were getting interviewed why did Justin Timberlake have to be with them?They barely got to a say a word.

I agree 100%... of all the times to mess up... they mess up honoring Duran Duran... i know it's not their fault but come on. Avril DID seem like she had NO idea who they were. I thought Kelly was stepping all over Avril... Avril didn't really say anything at the pre-show either.

-personally, I like duran duran. I think they're really great but....with all due respect, I really don't think they've done enough for them to receive one of those "best artist in history or life time acheivement" awards-

Well since Duran Duran is my favorite band I think they deserved it,but I can see why people might think not.Duran Duran made really fine videos,and I think if it weren't for them MTV wouldn't have gotten as far as it did.

Im not a big fan of Duran Duran (nothing against them, of course) and I felt the exact same way. They could have put that in a much better way, they made it seem like it was a pity award.
