Mr. Temple: What is this? A vicar's tea party?
XXXX: You have been knwon to take your conversations away with you.
Mr. Temple: Oh, being a clever bastard, are we?

What does "take your conversations away with you" mean?

Eddie played XXXX the tape of Jimmy talking to the police, so he was well able to record anything that was said to be used at a later date. In reply he infers that XXXX could be wired for sound and that they will just have to trust each other.
