How did Sidney reconise XXXX?

...because they all knew each other prior to the beginning of the movie. do you remember when XXXX and morty grimaced when gene mentioned duke's name at the luncheon meeting? they knew duke, and didn't care for him.

then in the club, sidney walks up to XXXX and says 'i hear you're doing business with my uncle the duke'

but there's huge subtext there also, which is only caught by someone such as me, the Official Worldwide Number One Fan:


...near the end, it's revealed that duke's entire amsterdam trip was masterminded by jimmy to begin with, who used XXXX's name without telling him, to set him up.

so you see, when sidney walked up to XXXX in the club he already had XXXX on the brain because of the recent trip to the serbs' greenhouse. XXXX was the man of the hour with duke's crew without even realizing it; he had only come to the club to see tiptoes and cody to enlist their help in finding the girl. (also a setup, and also tied to the other setup, but that's a longer post for another time!)


