"Rajai, the young photogenic driver of the taxicab"

Probably because he was an ACTOR (as admitted by the director). The gunshot fired at him driving away by the supposed israeli soldier was ALSO added, and scenes in which soldiers misbehave were ALSO arab actors. All admitted by the director.

could you give the source where the director admitted these things... otheriwise this looks just like the cheap try to make the film look like pro-palestinean prop.

I don't know that this was ever claimed to be a true 'documentary'. There are two writers in the main credits, which seems to me a clear indication the film is a docudrama, not a documentary. I found it informative and interesting. It felt clear to me that a lot was staged. That didn't seem like a bad thing, just the style of the film. Only if there was a claim that everything was spontaneous and 'true' would I have a problem with the style (but then, you'd never credit 'writers').

Same here. Relax everyone. And make up your mind, about the subject, your movie experiences etc..
