Discovering....

Hello,
Did you know that there is a 6th character to play in this game. Sure you have your human barbarian, cleric, dwarf, elf and necromancer, but there is a sixth character to the clan it is awesome to play! His name is Drizzt.

Hi Irishgirl,

As well as Drizzt, there's also another guy called Artemis - on the screen where you choose your characters, keep going to the character furthest on the right then press down twice, you'll get him.

If you like playing as Drizzt, try a game called Demon Stone - it's not a great game but there's a chapter where you control Drizzt, it's awesome! - you get two flaming swords and slash through trolls like some kind of demented food mixer! Like I said it's not a great game but it's worth buying for that section alone!

Either of you actually know who Drizzt and Artemis Entreri are? lol

reply

Thats what I'm thinking about those two lol.

reply

I believe that they are characters from the novels by R.A. Salvatore... if I'm wrong, I really don't care.

reply

Yes, Solarflair's right.
R.A. Salvatore wrote a whole series about Drzzt Do'Urden.
Icewind Dale Trilogy
The Dark Elf Trilogy
The Legend of the Drow
among others. I've read a few from these series and I know there are more out there. So thank you for your pointed comments, have a nice day, and don't always assume everything.
Haven't you ever been excited about something before?

drizzt sucked because you cant change his weapons

In the outside world i am a geologist. In here I am Falcorn, defender of the Alliance.-randy marsh

reply

Yep. Both Drizzt and Artemis' weapons are weak compared to the stronger ones you can get later in the game, it's a shame that neither of them will give up their "trusty blades."

Good answer, Irishgirl. I didn't like those two's attitudes either.

Of course you can't change his swords, he will always use icingdeath and twinkle. i haven't played as him in thi s game, but he is supposed to be able to do like 50 plus damage with both swords. and Artemis is in this one too? sweet. Tho playing as artemis and drizzt together would be quite interesting

About that, Paths of Darkness is probably the best set in the series, with Servant of the Shard being my personal favorite. Servant focuses on Artemis Entreri and a banished drow named Jaralaxe and was the first of Salvatore's novels to feature Artemis as its protagonist. The novel also spawned a trilogy about the two characters call The Sellswords.

If you haven't read Paths of Darkness I suggest you do so. It has more focus on story rather than fight after fight. I always thought Salvatore's novels would do better as comics...

Speaking of which, his novels are currently being adapted to graphic novels (bassically long comics) and they've already done the Dark ELf trilogy and just recently finished The Icewindale Trilogy.

And so you know I didn't mean anything by my post earlier. Merely poking fun at the tone of your OP, which seemed somewhat oblivious to who Drizzt was. Solarfire's post was apparantly done in ignorance as made obvious by his later post in which case he has no right to sound self-righteous when the fact is, he didn't know the character he was referencing and decided that a small joke, not even made threateningly, should upset him so much. I have one statement to make to him, this is the internet, don't take things to heart, ignore others if you must, and for God's sake, don't whine about one sentence from a person you may never ever meet. It just makes you sound immature.

I hope this enlightened you all, and any others on the subject.

Sorry, this really made me laugh. The irony of the guy coming back after nearly a whole year, to write a childish, defensive paragraph telling others not to make a big deal out of stuff you hear on the net.

"It just makes you sound immature."

It sure does!
