I thought the start was fantastic, the middle ho hum and boring and the ending pretty good.
I heard it was going to bomb but I was pleasently surprised. My financee clapped at the end...
Then again, where we are in Melbourne we get $9 tickets...

I JUST saw it too! (OK- I saw it yesterday, but close enough right?) I thought it was OK. Not great but I thought I got my money's worth. It looked fantastic, voice performances were very good and although I will be the first to admit to not being that big of an Astroboy fan/expert, it seemed that the film stayed pretty close to the original story. On the negative side I found the movie to be a little too simplistic and it was a little heavy handed in its "messages" that it wanted to get across. In sum: B-/C+.

Yeah i agree the ending was random. Next year for the UK? That makes no sense. Even one week is late enough, let alone 3 months!
