Is it not a reflection on yourself?

It seems to me that the point of this movie is to make the viewer reflect on what he himself decides the movie is about. The girls in the movie are *innocent*, the actions they take are *innocent*, everything _can_ be taken as *innocent*. Every possible other interpretation is just a reflection of your own inhibitions, or fears and so on. This movie seems to me to be a blank canvas for people to investigate their own issues/feelings/ideas about pre-adolescent female sexuality.
As far as I could see their was nothing in this movie which was anything but innocent, but everything can be interpreted as non-innocent if you want to. Even some of the comments from the teachers/carers are as benign as you want them to be - ~"you'll soon learn what beautifull legs are for..." can state nothing more than men like beautiful legs, and this was told to a girl about to enter puberty and thus discover men anyway.

If you want this movie to be paedophilic, go ahead...but thats only a reflection on yourself...

I totally agree.

It's also a message against dozens of "easy" movies that forged our expectations and the way we watch movies. Why does a children's school always have to have a bad principal or teacher? This movie is indeed a white and clean canvas of "innocence", and only the viewer can stain it. This is a great movie.

I am so glad some one else sees it this way. I went to see it at a local theater with a friend and while I loved it and found it an explotation of self and societies effects on who we become, my friend said it was just a sick movie for and about perverts.
