Deinterlacing issues with SD DVD video


Anyone else notice the HORRIBLE artifacts known as "mouse teeth" or "tearing", when the pixels in one frame do not line up with the pixels in the other, forming a jagged edge - in the transfer of this to SD DVD? It is prevalent in the first 3 chapters of viewing so far and very distracting.

For me, the very poor de-interlacing technique when making this DVD shows make it unwatchable...
