I don't know about anyone else, but with Madeleine West and Rachel Hunter, how can this fail? If this movie bombs and doesn't get a dvd release, I'll cry! Every day, when I wake up, I thank the lord for the zoom button.

shareI'm an Aussie girl and I sure as hell won't be supporting this hopeless excuse for a film; who cares if it is Australian? An industry that is already considered pathetic by most of the public and that gets zero respect overseas is not going to be propped up because of support for one hopeless production based purely on patriotic reasons.
Work for the dole jokes? Slovenly idiots living in caravan parks? What the hell is wrong with this country when the Film & Finance Corporation continues to waste money on films that are nothing more than a copy of a copy of a copy of a bogan who was never funny in the first place?
Angus Sampson has one schtick and that's acting like the bogan that he is. It was fine in a noodles commercial but it is not worthy of 90 minutes.
I am so damn tired of this stereotypical garbage; slovely, moronic, lazy, ugly Australian men acting as dumb as *beep* learning some tacked on lesson about friendship/mateship/<insert alternative cliche here> (so the film has some supposed moral sensibility) and winding up with the "dream girl" who is consistently portrayed as a big breasted blonde who eventually realises the guy is a really decent, caring, wonderful person she can truly love.
Australian films can be great; but can we get past this parochial notion of Australians being unwashed dole bludgers? Obviously someone in this country has a job if they can afford to shell out $14 to see this stupid picture.
i saw this movie today, it wasnt as bad as i first thought
no wonder our film industry has no respect overseas, its cos we always produce the same type of movies and they are crappy "comedy" films. I mean COME ONE get out there and find a great script and some good actors, we have the resources to make a great film we just dont have the budget nor the script or actors!
take the house of wax (most recent i can think of) that was filmed in aus, u cant say we dont have the locations or the materials, we just dont have the TALENT
