Why did the three evil souls need that guy...(spoilers)

I think they didn't kill Raymond. Raymond's death was particularly violent, with his house completely thrashed. I think the workman killed Raymond, under the spirits' orders. The spirits didn't resort to direct action, they mostly "influenced" people to do things or harm themselves. Only in the end they acted, but I felt it was an act more of desperation, to prevent Jonathan from stopping the workman, who seemd to be harvesting victims' souls for them.

I think they like to have a finger in both pies. When they are not DIYing (Sarah, Jonathon and may be Raymond), they get crew like the construction worker doing their dirty work.🐭
