Did Donnach actually hate Isolde? There seemed to be some major resentment toward her on his part.
shareI didn't see it as hate. Just absence of tenderness or love. She was his daughter, his property, a pawn to be married to her father's benefit and that's it. He didn't care for her beyond her usefulness. Indifference to her as a human being seems more like it. But it seems to me Donnacht was like that with everyone, not just his daughter.
