One of the rare romances I like.

I normally detest happy, corny romance films, but for some reason like the tragic ones like Braveheart and this. One of those good movies that make you sympathise with the characters.

I actually saw this movie incompletely a long time ago so I'd thought I'd rewatch it again. I also thought this would use some of the music from Wagner's opera of the same name. I was slightly disappointed. I actually decided to watch the movie instead of the opera. Operas can be tedious. :P The Prelude at the beginning credits and the Liebestod at the end would have been perfect. Isolde's final aria as she sings over the dead Tristan alone is as powerful as the whole movie, even more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SA2KsY0ZRI

8/10.
