One of the rare romances I like.

I normally detest happy, corny romance films, but for some reason like the tragic ones like Braveheart and this. One of those good movies that make you sympathise with the characters.

I actually saw this movie incompletely a long time ago so I'd thought I'd rewatch it again. I also thought this would use some of the music from Wagner's opera of the same name. I was slightly disappointed. I actually decided to watch the movie instead of the opera. Operas can be tedious. :P The Prelude at the beginning credits and the Liebestod at the end would have been perfect.
