I think I just had a 'moment'

Wow, what an intense contemplation of love! Having two people be madly in love and then putting them next to each other with tons of reasons not to be together was really a fertile ground to explore themes of love, loyalty, honor, and what is really important in life. No wonder it's a classic story that has lived on through the ages!

Yeah, it's a shame they butchered it with this movie. I love James Franco and the Arthurian legends, so I had high hopes for this film. I couldn't believe how awful it was.

I agree with you rharwoodx. It was so intense. Some people hated the movie, but I loved it. Maybe the acting could of been a little bit more better but the storey line was great!

But, the game's out there, and it's play or get played. That simple. -Omar Little "The Wire"

I love this movie too, seen it twice! The acting was superb , Franco was extremely selfish though. But loved his acting in this & the king!

These "forbidden love" stories still happen nowadays and in REAL LIFE.

My gay uncle fell in love with someone in the early 2000s. Both sides are traditionally religious (although my family isn't). They "posed" as friends. A year later, our family and theirs started to suspect them as they were always together. I guess the idea of two men together is seen more "gay" than a bunch of dudes hanging around - at least in their mind.

My uncle told me how his partner and himself would never have a normal love life, like the others. They can't openly hold each other's hands and say "he's my other half". Unfortunately, they got caught in 2007. His partner was too ashamed. His family went ballistic and said how dishonored they are.

They now live together. Far away from home. My family still talks my uncle. My uncle's partner family are estranged *beep*
