Haha! He's a trip!

Thats kindda sad cause I loved the movie, the knee incident could have happened on any set, and the not agreeing on the character's mood conflict must happen between a lot of actors and producers...

reply

Still, it's a damn good movie and he was surprisingly good in it. I

"Aw Dammit! Hot Bitches!"

That's a shame. I really liked this movie idea but I really didn't like James as Tristan. I wish they would've cast another actor to play this role.

I may only be a viewer, so I don't know what happens while they make this movie but from this article because he said his heart was not in it, he really didn't play the character to his best ability. Sometimes when for example an actor on stage is not completely in character, like he's only giving 50% the audience will notice. I thought James had botox on his face because his only emotion was sad. Maybe since he was not getting along with the producers that was affecting his acting.

Well I still enjoy this story like I said but I still wish someone else was playing this character.

I liked how he looked in the movie, hair style and clothing. I never thought of him as handsome before but thought he looked really handsome in this movie. I just didn't like his acting now I know why.

reply

I loved his hair in this movie! Very handsome.

This actually makes me sad that he didnt like it and basically wishes he never did it. Tristan and Isolde is one of my favorite movies and IMO Franco's best movie.

reply

I agree! Love this movie!

I actually will agree with Franco on this one about the character being tortured and not jovial. Still though he shouldn't have put the production down like he did and called out big names in an article. I hate how these young actors bitch and moan when their movies fail to perform. Yeah curse the damn knee, the Prague doctors but tell it like its a war story and be damn proud of the work you did. It was a good movie. Oh and its laughable about him now needing to"feel the part". So he felt nothing for this role but was moved by "Pineapple Express" and "Oz"? Now that's funny.

I think this is one of the films he told Howard Stern that he regretted agreeing to do. I think the others were Annapolis and Flyboys. He said he felt he had to do films like that because he was fairly new to Hollywood and didn't feel he could say no to some roles.
