D+D Arcade Games

For any fans of the D&D side scrolling hack and slash video games that were released in the arcades several years ago, here's a link to a site where you can import them for Sega Saturn, you only need to have a special cartridge for the Saturn to play them.

That seems pretty expensive, plus, who has a Saturn?

There are emulators that support the two D&D arcade games, namely Final Burn and Mame. A little searching can locate the ROMS.

I have a saturn, and those games are worth the money. Plus you can import and play games like Castlevania Symphony of the Night also, which has exclusive game modes and areas on the Japanese Saturn version. The only thing you need to play imports on a Saturn is an action replay 4-in-1 for the cartridge slot, and Saturns aren't exactly worth a lot of money, you could probably pick up a Saturn for $30 at the most.

Theres better actually.
the MAME Arcade emulator allows you to play the original Arcade games on your cmputer. And complete ROMs for both have been recovered. Search around and you'll find them.

There are quite a few D&D based games out now, some old, like the original SSI RPGs, and some new, like Neverwinter Nights.

The discs look cooler on a shelf than a burned CD-R with "D&D" written in Sharpie on it.

True, but there are some nifty CD labelling gear out there, could make something up for that. heh.
As is though ROM emulation is the only way the original arcades will be saved. Quite a few arcades were installed with "suicide batteries" due to companies trying to cut corners with low grade matrrials. When the battery dies it takes the whole thing with it. Quite a few old cartridge games had them too.

Go with whatever works for you.
