A brand new adult twist on a old story.

I was impressed by the movies general weirdness the first time i saw it. I thought the cinematography and acting was great- the script is okay too but only average in my opinion.
I have watched a lot of versions of this classic Lewis Carrol tale and they vary from the animated silliness of Disney's to the Jonathan Miller take made in 1966 which he tried to stay as true to the book as possible.
This was more of an adult thinking persons movie because outside of a few adult rated scene's and some limited adult language, you are basically left on your own to identify the familiar characters you are used to running into if you saw other movie versions or (hopefully) read the book. Most all of the characters are in this movie version but it helps greatly if you understand the story a little, otherwise you will probably just be lost and not enjoy it much.
Rent it and try it out and you might like it.
