What a P.O.S. !!! Great slasher my a__.

I just got done watching this, and Ive had the copy for a few months. After finally sitting through it, I had to check to make sure I hadnt slipped in a copy of "The Doom Generation" instead. Its pretty sad, when the best performance is from Tiffany Shepis. Im not counting Bill Mosley since its more of a cameo then a role. The story has promise, but they leave alot unexplained as to the motives of the killer.

Why did the beast wear a mask for the first few killings and then stop at the last house? I actually liked the masked killer look, but then they go for the whole demon monster thing. Also, the performances are meant to be quirky and offbeat, but come off as inane more then anything. Why did the beast kill others if it was only supposed to kill the ones they hated? If Ive ever met a group of people who I dont mind getting killed off in horrible ways, this was it. I know this was a low budget film, but I expected better. They never explain the relationship between Mosley and the beast. Are they the same? WTF?

The one good thing I can mention is the gore. Its well done and pretty bloody. The killer looks great, and the effects are over the top. The killings themselves rank with Hostel as uncomfortable to watch. If I see anyone else killed my placing their jaw on a curb, Im gonna freak.

Bottom line, watch this in fast forward.
