Max Factor Lustre

amazing that the company would name a make-up line after a family member convicted of countless rape charges, poisoning, sodomy etc.... and women buy the make-up.....people are stupid lmao

I noticed that too and I was quite disgusted! Thank God I don't use their make-up.

you people are the stupid ones he was the heir to the company im sure if his father and grandfather were still alive the founders of the company they would disown him and write him out of the will.

I love when people call other people stupid and they say a bunch of inaccurate information. 1) Andrew Luster was not the heir to the company, he was one of the heirs to the money that the family made when they sold the company way back in 1973 when Andrew was 11.

2) Andrew's father and grandfather were in no way associated with the company, they weren't even members of the Factor family. Andrew was the son of Max Factor Sr.'s daughter's adopted daughter.

3) The real Factors never did care for Andrew or his mother because they weren't really Factors and weren't caring on the family name.

4) His grandfather was dead before Andrew was even born so he was never even in his will. And like I said his father wasn't a Factor so he didn't have the money to leave Andrew. Max Sr. left money to his daughter who then left it to her adopted daughter and Andrew.

Who knew so much wrong information could be said in so few words. You might have set a record.

Actually, it was his father and grandfather who were the founders of the company...he was an heir, but like someone else just pointed out, if they had known how messed up their son and grandson would turn out to be, they probably would have chosen NOT to put him on the will in the first place. It's a disgrace to their business after all, but it's not their fault. I don't use their makeup, but I wouldn't let that stop me from buying it.

You know I didn't even know anything about this until now. I swore by max factor 2000 calorie mascara. The last time I purchased the mascara was about 6 or 7 years ago at Dollar General. Now I know why I can't find it anymore. It's sad this jerk messed up the company because the makeup and perfumes were really good for the price. I also feel sick I was giving business to this **ck. Then again it's not his grandparents fault. Man he messed it all up.

Actually the company is still around today but you can only get it online in the United States, it's still available over seas though. And them discontinuing it in the US had nothing to do with Andrew Luster, his family had all ready sold the company by the time Andrew was like 11 or so, they discontinued the line in America because the company that owns them also owns Cover Girl which is far more successful here than Max Factor.

Couple things, first of all it's Max Factor Lustres, and lustres has something to do with gloss. And even if it was taken from Luster, which I doubt since the Max Factor family hadn't had anything to do with the company since 73, but if it had been it could have been named after his mother.
